What We Believe

The Scriptures

We believe the Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God, fully trustworthy and without error in the original writings. Scripture is the final authority for faith, doctrine, and daily living, and is sufficient to equip believers for every good work.

The One True God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—equal in power and glory. God is holy, loving, sovereign, and the Creator and Sustainer of all things.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is God the Son, fully divine and fully human. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and proclaimed the Kingdom of God. He died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for sinners, was bodily raised from the dead, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return personally and visibly in power and glory.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and is present and active in the world. He convicts of sin, regenerates and indwells all believers at conversion, and empowers the Church for worship, holiness, witness, and service.
We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are given according to His will for the building up of the Church, and we affirm that no spiritual gift is necessary for salvation. Salvation is received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

Humanity and Sin

We believe humanity was created in the image of God to know Him, love Him, and live under His good authority. Through Adam’s sin, all people are spiritually fallen and separated from God, unable to save themselves. Every person is in need of repentance and the redeeming work of Jesus Christ.

Salvation

We believe salvation is by God’s grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Jesus’ death and resurrection provide full forgiveness of sin and reconciliation with God. Those who repent and believe are justified, adopted into God’s family, and sealed by the Holy Spirit. True saving faith produces a life of obedience, spiritual growth, and good works—not as a means of earning salvation, but as the fruit of a transformed life.

The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who truly trust in Jesus. The Church exists to worship God, make disciples, proclaim the gospel, practice biblical community, serve the needs of others, and display the love of Christ.
We believe local churches—including house churches—should gather regularly for prayer, teaching, fellowship, communion, mutual encouragement, and mission, under the authority of Scripture and the leadership of qualified servants.

Baptism & Communion

We believe Jesus Christ instituted two ordinances for the Church: baptism and Communion
• Baptism is a public declaration of repentance and faith, symbolizing union with Christ in His death and resurrection. We prefer baptism by immersion as the clearest biblical picture of this reality, while recognizing that baptism does not save but is an act of obedience following salvation.
• Communion (the Lord’s Supper) is a sacred remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice, proclaiming His death until He returns, and strengthening believers through worship, gratitude, and renewed faith.

The Christian Life

We believe every believer is called to live under the lordship of Jesus Christ, growing in holiness through the power of the Holy Spirit. We pursue prayer, the reading of Scripture, obedience, generosity, purity, humility, love, justice, and mission. We believe God calls His people to care for the vulnerable, forgive as they have been forgiven, and represent Christ in word and deed.

The Last Things

We believe Jesus Christ will return bodily and visibly to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the resurrection of the dead: eternal life for those who are in Christ and eternal separation from God for those who reject Him. God will make all things new, and His redeemed people will live forever in His presence.
